Faune

Faune is an original typeface family commissioned by the French Centre National des Arts Plastiques (French Ministry of Culture) in partnership with Imprimerie Nationale. The type family is inspired by the animal world, in particular by engravings found in nineteenth century French history books. Beyond its historical roots, Faune proposes an unusual and daring definition of the notion of a type family.
